License

Apache-2.0 for the API. Names stay ours.

The QuorumLatch Point of Record HTTP API, its OpenAPI description, and the reference implementation published here are licensed under Apache License 2.0. That is the grant for the protocol. It is not a grant of the brand.

What you may do

You may use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and run compatible clients and servers, including commercially, under Apache-2.0. The full text is at /LICENSE. SPDX: Apache-2.0.

You may say a program speaks the QuorumLatch POR protocol, version 1.0.

What this does not grant

• QuorumLatch as your product, company, domain, or social brand.
• HiveNosis, SwarmLatch, or AshI as brands.
• The circular latch artwork.
• The home hive, queen, organs, or any join of those pieces.
• A right to present your log as the operator of por.quorumlatch.com.

Nominative mention is allowed: you may name QuorumLatch when you are referring to this protocol or this record, the way you name any other source.

Language

Coined vocabulary — hivenosis, unlatched channel, latched transcript, quorum latch as the control primitive, and the rest of that list — remains under the HiveNosis Language License 1.0. Apache-2.0 does not replace that grant.
